    MD/MS (Doctor of Medicine/Master of surgery) Eligibility Criteria

    In order to pursue a course under MD/MS, aspirants will have to qualify the MD/MS eligibility criteria for the course that they wish to pursue. The eligibility criteria for MD/MS and its specializations in India are as follows:

    • Candidates must have a valid MBBS degree from one of the recognized medical colleges or institutes in India or abroad.
    • Admissions to all medical courses in India on the scores obtained in the entrance examinations, i.e. NEET. Since MD/MS is a PG degree, candidates must have a NEET-PG score/rank, in order to take admissions in one of MD/MS specializations in India.
    • The minimum aggregate score requirement in the qualifying examination will vary from college to college, therefore, all candidates are advised to visit the eligibility criteria outlined by the college of your choice

    What Process of MD/MS Admission?

    The candidates who are interested in pursuing an MD degree from one of the medical colleges in India, then they will be required to meet the eligibility criteria. The admissions to the course are based on the scores or rank obtained in the NEET-PG examinations, conducted for almost all PG medical courses in India. The NEET-PG admissions for MD will be based on counselling sessions which will be conducted by the respective body, throughout India.
